Who & What is A M I R A?
Pray for us in this work
A M I R A Background
History is critical, especially as we watch the Father move and scatter his church to the nations. We, as followers of Christ, saved by grace, are given the gift of being drawn close in Jesus Christ, adopted into God's family through Christ death & resurrection-- and then, with the Holy Spirit, moved to bear witness to the Son and his Kingdom in our world today.
A M I R A is the scattering of the confessing church to the Eastern Aegean, to see his Son proclaimed, disciples made and the church established among the displaced nations and among the Greek people.
This alliance grew out of a September of 2021 gathering of missionaries, who each had a call to Greece, these islands, and a unified purpose to see disciples made. In June of 2022, this alliance of missionaries was officially named A M I R A, the Aegean Mediterranean Island Reach Alliance.
Why the Eastern Aegean?
Why is this region critical to the Church? This window is one of the most used migratory pathways into Europe from the Middle East & Africa. This has been true for 3000+ years (in both directions) and most recently many peoples, seeking a better life, move across Turkey and through these islands to enter into the EU.
Europe and the Greek Government have responded with new well equipped Refugee/Migrant camps on 5 of these islands. The four most southern of these islands are within the A M I R A window, including numerous other Greek Islands and the coast-lands of Turkey. It is here the nations, as well as the Greek people, can find the Life of Christ, the Gospel of Grace.
During the migrants stay on these islands, whether they are returned to their home country or meet asylum demands to remain, the opportunity to love, serve & proclaim Christ to them is a rich blessing. In this way, the Church, in many nations, INCLUDING Greece (Europe, the Middle East, Africa), are stirred and strengthened into the future by these who have the seeds of the Gospel of Christ within. .
PRAY with us to this end of seeing his church established. This is not our work, but his.
The A M I R A Vision Map
This map represents the Aegean & Mediterranean World including the Turkish coast.
The primary islands for the A M I R A Vision include Chios, Samos, Leros & Kos all of which have new (2021) refugee detention camps and each with a capacity of 3-6000. Patmos island is also identified as a primary island given it's critical importance biblically, historically and to the Greek nation. Rhodes is also a primary island as it is the largest in the Dodecanese chain and therefore holds much influence over this island group. The islands that fall in between are just as important and include Kaymnos, Lipsi, Ikaria, Fournoi, Symi and Agathonisi +. These are of secondary focus initially.
The A M I R A Vision:
To revive the call of the early Church in the Aegean & Mediterranean world.
The A M I R A Partners
Waymaker International
Brad & Margie M. were called to the Eastern Aegean Islands, and namely Samos is 2021. As they began to move this direction from their previous work in Bethehem, the Lord confirmed their steps and begin to prepare for them a larger team of like-hearted people to come alongside them to see disciples made & churches established among these islands.
In the Summer of 2021 Brad M. met Brad N. and both realized that these Eastern Aegean Islands were upon their hearts. By September a small council was formed around this vision for these islands & the nations upon them. By October of 2021, Brad & Margie moved to Samos, not knowing what or how all this was going work out.
The Father is faithful. What has occurred since that time is a bee-hive of the Body of Christ! Their move to Samos in October of 2021 saw the Hope House venue open (the Lord's gift) that has now moved to a new location with space for each mission partner to work.
PRAY for Brad & Margie as they lead this vision from the Island and work among the displaced nations seeking to establish disciples and a Greek/international fellowship in Samos Town.

Margie M. is the Director of the Hope House Venue on Samos
TEAM Greece
Brad & Jamie N. moved to France in 2007. As they completed their first term, the Lord called them to move to Greece. By 2013, their family was in Athens and they began to learn how to love and reach the nations of the Middle East.
In 2019 their work in Athens took them to Samos to complete a survey of the Island and specifically see the makeshift refugee camp that was sitting on the backside of Samos Town. After 3 days they returned to Athens having noted no Greek Protestant church, Christian witness or work on the island or associated with the refugee camp.
As they flew back to Athens they whispered weak prayers -- "Father we have nothing --you must do something here on Samos for your Kingdom." Then in June of 2021, Brad N. met Brad M. and each realized that the Lord had set Samos and the eastern Aegean islands on their hearts.
Brad N. is the Managing Director of the AMIRA Vision.

MH Initiative
Jamison & Kelly served for 20+ years in Israel seeking to make disciples and see the church established. In the last few years they moved their efforts to Athens Greece.
The opportunities to reach the nations on Samos through the Hope House venue and the A M I R A vision fit their ministry & ESL teaching model. They are overseeing the weekly ESL classes through the Hope House.
Pray for the A M I R A Vision
Pray as we seek to remain unified in Christ and his work to see disciples made. Pray that we as his Church remain humble and abiding in Christ for the sake of his name on Samos. The darkness desires to destroy us and these efforts and we know we need prayer to see this work on Samos become established as a realk fellowship of Greek believers and as well to see the Church expand to Kos, Leros, Chios and Rhodes Islands.
